Season Two of the ghost-wrangling, crime-busting show opens with an episode that ties up the plot that provided the climactic cliffhanger to Season 1. It's more police procedural than anything else, visits from the coma victim's dead father notwithstanding. True, the main clue as to the identity of the killer comes from a dream, but everything else, the investigation and the sting to catch that person, is pure cop show.

A change of tack and a welcome one as the loop between Allison and the woman in the fifties is both spooky and intriguing. The resolution is simple enough and a little predictable, but satisfying. While Capt. Push lingers between life and death, Allison struggles to decipher confusing messages from the other side in an attempt to stop a serial killer before he claims his next victim.

Allison meets a seemingly kind patient David at the doctor's office, but then has visions of him murdering several women while she watches him get his MRI. Allison is confused by her visions because David seems like such a nice guy, but she's sure that he's the killer she saw in her visions. Meanwhile, the results of Allison's MRI show an abnormality in her brain, one which Joe thinks may be an explanation for her visions. Joe convinces Allison to let him test Ariel and Bridget to see if they have the same abnormality.
